Die Geschichte von MORESCHI Akkordeons
Im Jahre 1910 begann der achtzehnjährige Guiseppe Moreschi im Keller seines Hauses in der Via C. Battisti Akkordeons zu bauen und folgte damit der heute etablierten Tradition des Akkordeonbaus in Castelfidardo. Bald darauf fand er Beachtung als Handwerker und die von ihm geschaffenen Instrumente wurden wegen Ihrer Qualität und Beschaffenheit in Italien und darüber hinaus geschätzt.
Um 1940 wurde die Werkstatt im Keller zu klein und Giuseppe verlegte sie in ein Gebäude an der Via IV Novembre wo die Firma bald industriellen
Charakter annahm. Hier, mit mehr Platz und besseren Holzverarbeitungsmöglichkeiten, konnte er die Anzahl der verschiedenen Modelle erhöhen und sogar Einzelanfertigungen realisieren. Mit der
Unterstützung seiner drei Söhne expandierte Giuseppe weltweit und insbesondere in die USA.
In den 1940er Jahren hat Moreschi & Figli, wie sie von da an heißt, 150 Mitarbeiter und ist der drittgrößte Arbeitgeber in Castelfidardo – nur die Firmen der Sopranis (Paolo & Settimio) sind größer. Die Firma entwickelt sich ist zu dieser Zeit und auch in den darauf folgenden 20 Jahren sehr positiv. 1956 stirbt Giuseppe.
In den 1960er Jahren beginnt die dritte Generation der Moreschi Familie, Giuseppes Enkel Toni und Franco , in der Firma zu arbeiten. Es ist der Beginn
der elektronischen Akkordeons und viele Instrumente mit dem „neuen Klang“ werden gebaut.
In den 70ern trifft die Krise die Akkordeonindustrie und Castelfidardo im Besonderen. Viele Firmen stellen ihren Betrieb ein, diversifizieren oder restrukturieren, so auch Moreschi. Trotzdem will der jüngste Enkel Giuseppes, Mario, die berühmten Akkordeonmarke fortführen. Er übernimmt das Geschäft 1978 und unter Mitarbeit von lokalen Arbeitern setzt er die Produktion von Moreschi Akkordeons fort.
1995 gründet Mario mit seinem Partner Giansandro Breccia die heutige Firma Pasco Italia um das Akkordeongeschäft weiter zu vergrößern. Sein Sohn Michele stößt ein Jahr vor seinem Tod in 2011 zur Firma.
Michele ist nun in vierter Generation im Geschäft. Damit ist Moreschi das älteste familiengeführte Akkordeon Unternehmen in Castelfidardo.
The History of MORESCHI accordions
In 1910, the 18 year old Giuseppe Moreschi started making accordions in the basement of his house in Via C Battisti, Castelfidardo following the now established traditions of accordion makers in the town. Soon afterwards he would be recognised as an able artisan and the accordions he made were appreciated for their quality and construction in Italy and also abroad.
By 1940 the workshop was too small and Giuseppe moved to a building in Via IV Novembre where the company assumed
all the characteristics of an industrial activity. Here with more space and his woodworking capabilities he was able to increase the number of accordion models and even build custom
instruments. Here with the support of his 3 sons Giuseppe expanded his worldwide business and in particular the USA.
At this time – the 1940’s, Moreschi & Figli as the company is now known, has 150 workers and becomes the third largest employer in Castelfidardo – only the factories of the Sopranis’ (Paolo & Settimio) are larger. The trend for the company is very positive and continues to be for the next 20 years during which time, in 1956, Giuseppe passes away.
In the 1960’s the third generation of the Moreschi family, Giuseppes’ grandsons Toni and Franco, start working in
the factory. It is the advent of the electronic accordion and many are built that incorporate the “modern” sounds.
Then in the 70’s, crisis hits the accordion industry and Castelfidardo especially. Many companies decide to close, diversify or restructure including Moreschi. However, the youngest of Giuseppe’s grandsons, Mario wants this famous accordion name to continue. He takes over the business in 1978 and with the collaboration of local workers continues to produce accordions with the Moreschi brand.
In 1995 Mario, in partnership with Giansandro Breccia, forms the present company “Pasco Italia” to further expand the accordion business. His son, Michele, joins the company the year before his death in 2011.
Michele becomes the fourth generation in the business and makes Moreschi the oldest family run accordion business in Castelfidardo.
